SEASON INFORMATION

Currently we are in the off season for Football with the 2025 season scheduled to start in April 2025. 

More Information on the 2025 season will be available in January with registrations going live early February.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Football Grades

At Parklands United, we provide options for players in each of the following age groups:

  • Mini Kicks - 3-4 yr olds (born 2021-22)
  • First Kicks - 5-6 yr olds (born 2019-20)
  • Fun Football - 7th & 8th grade (born 2017/18)
  • Junior Football - 9th - 12th grade (born 2013-2016)
  • Youth Football - 13th - 19th grade (born 2012-2006)
  • Senior 
    • Canterbury Championship League
    • Reserves
    • Social Mens
  • Masters
    • Masters 35
    • Masters 45
    • Masters 50

We will look to provide information on Open Training's for the 2025 when these become available for each of the age groups.

Football Subscriptions

Our subscriptions for the 2025 season are outlined below. 

  • Mini Kicks - $70.00
  • First Kicks - $95.00
  • Fun Football - $125.00
  • Junior Football - $155.00 
  • Youth Football - $180.00
  • U21 - Playing Senior Football - $200.00 
  • Senior (including Masters) - $300.00

Subscriptions can be paid into Westpac 03-1597-0013393-00, please use Name and Grade as a reference. 

​​​​​​​Subs must be paid in full by 30th April 2025 to confirm your place in a team. If you are unable to do this please contact our Treasurer Nick James at acountspusc@gmail.com to make alternative arrangements.

Football Uniforms

Junior and Youth Football players are required to have their own Parklands United playing shirt. For returning players from 2024 these remain the same. New players, and players requiring new shirts, will be required to purchase a playing shirt.

New shirts will be available to purchase at the Shirt Allocation Days (dates tbc).

Families are welcome to also purchase 2nd hand playing shirts off other families wishing to sell off their former shirts.

2025 season dates:

Mainland Football has confirmed that the 2025 season start dates are:

  • Senior & Masters including CCL – Saturday, 5 April 2025
  • Juniors & YouthSaturday, 26 April 2025
  • Mini Kicks - Friday 2 May 2025
  • First Kicks & Fun Football - Saturday, 26 April 2025

  • No Mini Kicks, First Kicks, Fun Football, Junior or Youth games will occur on Kings Birthday weekend (30/31 May) or in the middle week of the school holidays (4/5 July).
  • Junior, Youth & Senior Football will be played on the Friday of Matariki (20 June).

  • Season end for most teams will be 6 September 2025

Please note that times of Mainland Football games are subject to change. These will be coordinated to you via your coach or manager.

  • Mini Kicks - 4pm - 4.45pm each Friday at Parklands Reserve
  • First Kicks - 10am - 11am each Saturday at Parklands Reserve
  • Fun Football - 11.30am - 12.30pm each Saturday at Parklands Reserve

  • 9th Grade - 10.30am kick off
  • 10th Grade - 9.30am kick off
  • 10th Grade Girls - 10.30am kick off
  • 11th Grade - 9.45am kick off
  • 12th Grade - 10.50am kick off
  • 12th Grade Girls - 10.50am kick off

  • 13th Grade - 9.15am kick off
  • 14th Grade - 10.45am kick off
  • 14th Grade Girls - 9.15am kick off
  • 15th Grade - 9.15am kick off
  • 17th Grade - 12.30pm kick off

  • CCL - 2.30pm kick off
  • Reserves - 2.30pm kick off
  • Social Men - 2.30pm kick off
  • Masters - 2.30pm kick off

Structure:

  • Mini Kicks, First Kicks and Fun Football follows the NZ Football Whole of Football framework.

Junior 

  • 9th - 12th Grades are played in graded groups of 6 teams against other clubs. No scores or tables published. Following the completion of a round of 5 games, groups may then be regraded by Mainland Football.

  • Games are played both Home (Broadhaven Reserve or Avondale Park) and Away. This means that players will need to travel to away games

Youth 

  • 13th - 19th Grades are competition grades, divisions are graded, all scores and tables are published. Please note that divisions may be regraded by Mainland Football during the season.

  • Games are played both Home (Parklands Reserve or Avondale Park) and Away. This means that players will need to travel to away games.

​​Team placements

  • Mini Kicks, First Kicks and Fun Football team placements are made at random.
  • 9th & 10th Grade team placements are done by placing players with similar ability players where possible.​​​​​          
  • 11th & 12th Grade are selected through Team Allocation days.

  • 13th - 19th Grade teams are trialled where the registered players are greater than whats required for one team.

Teams playing at 9th Grade or above Team training days & times are set by the coaches for each individual team
